Dog Adrift 2012


The official said a Japanese Coast Guard elite rescue unit recovered a dog that was adrift at sea on the roof of the north-eastern coast of the tsunami, Saturday - Tokyo.
Helicopter crew discovered Friday that the floppy-eared dark brown animal adrift over a mile (two kilometers) of Kesennuma, arrived in the port city on March 11 disaster, according to an official of the Coast Guard.
He said he has been reduced by highly trained rescue unit nicknamed "sea monkeys" by the Japanese public from the helicopter to catch the dog, but the engine roar panicked and jumped to the last piece of the wreckage.
